31-Day Classic Everest with Pokhara & Chitwan

Overview

This is the ancient route to the Everest region from Kathmandu. Tenjing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary followed this very route on their way to their Everest expedition on May 29th, 1953, and so will you on this 31-day tour!

You'll start with an exciting 4WD drive to Jiri via beautiful villages and follow the original Pioneer Everest Expeditioners Trail, crossing Lamjura Pass at 3,530 metres. The portion of the trek from Jiri to Lukla is often quiet and therefore a much better trekking country.

You'll experience the Magar, Rai and Sherpa culture in Junbesi. The Sherpa Capital is Namche Bazar, with stunning mountain views from Syangboche Airstrip and Everest View Hotel. You'll then experience Sherpa culture in Khumjung village and visit the Tyangboche Monastery. During your Everest Base Camp trek, you will have grand mountain views from Kalapatar, and spectacular views of glaciers and Khumbu icefalls.

You'll then make your way to Pokhara for a relaxing few days by Phewa Lake and the chance to catch the sunset over this relaxing city before you make your way back to Kathmandu to say goodbye.
