The trail runs through the lower part of the Annapurna region, through the pine, juniper and rhododendron forests. Trek to Ghorepani (2874m) and Poonhill (3210m), visit the ethnic communities, learn about their culture and buy local handicrafts to support the local economy. Poonhill offers mesmerising sunset and sunrise views over the Himalayan peaks.
The Annapurna Panorama Trekking can be done all year, however the Himalayan views are best during Spring (Mar - May) and Autumn (Sep - Nov).
Accessibility
From Pokhara, drive one hour by private transport to Nayapool, the starting point of the Poon Hill trek tour. You can take a jeep before Nayapool and cut off the first day of the trek if you have limited time.
