Overview
Discover Sri Lanka on this five-day classic tour of the country known as 'paradise island'.
You will have the opportunity to visit the sandy beach at Negombo, explore rock fortresses at Yapahuwa and Sigiriya and visit Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest network of caves in Sri Lanka.
You also visit the city of Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka and the last kingdom of Sri Lankan history. The Temple of the Tooth is one of the most sacred places among Buddhists around the world, where Gauthama Buddha’s left canine tooth is preserved and worshipped.
Finally, you will discover the city of Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. It has a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes. This short trip has everything you could need to inspire your love for Sri Lanka and will leave you will unforgettable memories of this magical island.

Day 1
Welcome to Sri Lanka!

Prepare to discover Sri Lanka on your 5-day trip! You will be picked up from the airport by your local guide and driver who will transfer you to Negombo, your first destination. You'll have the day to relax and recover from your journey in your 5-star hotel making use of the luxury facilities or you may wish to spend the day relaxing on the beach or exploring the town. The choice is yours. Dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant in the evening.

Day 2
Onwards to Sigiriya via Yapahuwa & Dambulla

In the morning, you'll be driven to Yapahuwa to see the rock fortress to explore this fascinating medieval structure. After lunch in a local restaurant where you'll be able to sample some Sri Lankan delicacies, you'll move to Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest network of caves in Sri Lanka filled with beautiful murals and Buddha images. By the late afternoon, you will arrive at your hotel in Sigiriya where you'll have some free time to relax and enjoy dinner at the hotel in the evening.

Day 3
Sigiriya to Kandy

Today, you'll head towards the city of Kandy, stopping first to visit the wonderful Sigiriya Lion's Rock Fortress, built by a former King and abandoned before completion. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll then drive to Kandy stopping first at the most sacred site of Sri Lanka, the Temple of the Tooth. Following this, you'll enjoy a boat ride on Kandy Lake and then you'll be wowed at the famous cultural dance show in the early evening. Dinner will be served in your hotel.

Explore the Cultural Heritage of Sri Lanka

Today, you'll continue to explore Kandy in the morning by visiting Geragama Tea Factory, the oldest tea plantation in Sri Lanka and a foundation in the development of the Ceylon tea known today. Following this, you'll be driven to Colombo where, after lunch in a local restaurant, you'll enjoy a tour which will cover the most significant landmarks of the city, offering the opportunity to learn more about Sri Lankan history and how the city is today.
