You will drive from the Croatian capital of Zagreb to the "Pearl of the Adriatic", Dubrovnik, stopping at the most beautiful sights such as Plitvice Lakes National Park, the archaic city with the largest Roman forum on the east coast of the Adriatic, the island with the largest numbers of sunny days, and several filming locations for the world-famous series Game of Thrones.

Day 1

Arrival in Zagreb

Upon arrival at Zagreb airport, you'll take a private transfer to the Westin Zagreb hotel. You'll have some time to relax and freshen up. Depending on the time of your arrival, before dinner, you'll spend some time re-energising in over 1,700-metre-squared of modern, elegantly appointed, sleek and airy surroundings of the hotel wellness centre.

After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, you'll meet with your local guide and take a walking tour around Zagreb city centre. Your guide will take you to the historical centre of the city, The Stone Gate, Church of St. Mark with the famed multicoloured roof, the Cathedral and many other sights. After the tour, you will have lunch in one of Zagreb's various restaurants - ask the guide for a recommendation. You'll spend the afternoon visiting museums, such as the Museum of Broken Relationships.

Begin your Croatia road trip! Today, you will pick up your rental car and depart for the Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can have lunch at one of the local restaurants that feature an array of local specialities. After visiting the park, you will continue towards Zadar, where you will check in the unique city boutique-hotel Bastion. In the afternoon, you will meet your guide and take a stroll through the cobbled streets of the old town of Zadar.

You will stop in the typical Dalmatian historical town of Trogir and meet your local guide for the walking tour. After the tour, you will head to the Stella Croatica estate to take a tour of the (manu)factory where the sweets are handmade, walk through the scenic botanical collection, explore the rich Mediterranean garden, and visit the olive oil museum. Before you will go to the hotel in Split, you will visit the Klis fortress. Your final destination of the day will be the Cornaro Hotel.

You will embark on a Split food tour that will tickle your senses. During the tour, your guide will take you to different food stops so you can taste the most delicious and scrumptious food. You will be walking along with the 1700-year-old imperial palace, getting to know the interesting facts of Diocletian’s Palace and the surrounding medieval highlights of Split. You will return to the hotel, get some rest, and then enjoy an evening off to explore the city.

Pelješac, Trsteno and Dubrovnik

Once on land, drive towards the southeast and your final destination – Dubrovnik. En route, you'll stop at the edge of the Pelješac peninsula to enjoy tasting world-famous oysters, just taken out of the sea, on a floating dock in the middle of the oyster farm. You will also make a short stop in a beautiful green oasis of Trsteno Arboretum, the oldest arboretum in this part of the world, used as the setting and filming location for the world-famous series Game of Thrones. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Once in the "Old Port", your guide will tell you the intriguing stories of the famous Quarantine and the nearby fortresses of St. Luke and St. John as well as fascinating legends about the Church of St Blaise, the Cathedral, the Rector's Palace, Sponza Palace, and Orlando's Column. The rest of the day, you will explore Dubrovnik and its surroundings on your own.
