Prepare to be swept away on an eight-day odyssey of Peruvian culinary delights en route to Machu Picchu!

You will visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the ancient ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo and explore Machu Picchu with an expert private guide. You'll have the option to do the Machu Picchu Mountain hike for the very best panoramic vistas across the complex.

Then, you'll catch the magnificent Hiram Bingham Luxury Train complete with a four-course gourmet meal and live Andean music. It is the perfect finale as you meander back to the captivating city of ancient Cusco.

The next morning, you'll take a privately guided visit to the shimmering Salt Pans at Maras and the terraced Inca laboratory of Moray on another Sacred Valley tour. At Moray, you'll be able to dine at MIL Centro, the domain of the world-renowned chef, Virgilo Martinez.

You'll conclude your gastronomic journey in Lima on a journey through Peruvian cuisine at Urban Kitchen. You'll learn how Peru has come to the pinnacle of world cuisine and create your own exceptional dish all under his friendly expert guidance.

Upon arrival to Jorge Chavez International Airport Lima, you'll walk to Costa del Sol Wyndham Airport Hotel. The Costa del Sol Wyndham Hotel is conveniently located just one minute on foot from the international arrivals gate. Using this hotel means that you won’t require a lengthy 40-60 minute transfer to downtown Lima (Miraflores), allowing you more time to relax after your international flight, and meaning you are at the airport for your morning departure the next day.

This morning, you'll walk back to the airport for your mid-morning flight from Lima to Cusco. Upon arrival, you will be met by your representative and take a private transfer through the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas to your hotel. You'll have an evening of leisure to acclimate to the high altitude (9,420 feet). The hotel has a fine selection of food options and it is recommended that you have dinner at Hawa Restaurant or speak to the hotel about the "Be Epicurean" culinary activities.

The Sacred Valley of the Incas was a strategic cultural and societally important bastion of the Inca Empire. At the ruins of Pisac, you’ll take a guided tour of the upper section of the ruins. Here a majestic temple stands at the confluence of three valleys. You'll have lunch at Hacienda Sarapampa, a truly local farm-to-fork experience. You'll then visit Ollantaytambo, an impressive and large ruin that was one of the last strongholds for the Incas after the invasion of the Spanish.

You'll have a free morning to explore Machu Picchu once again if you wish to. This is your opportunity to visit some of the other attractions that are not included on the standard tour. The entrance to Machu Picchu Mountain Trek will be included, tickets to Machu Picchu Mountain are subject to availability. In the evening, you'll take the luxury Hiram Bingham Train to Poroy Station, the train includes a four-course dinner with regional wines and live entertainment.
