Overview
Fiji is an archipelago of more than 300 islands. It's famed for rugged landscapes, palm-lined beaches and coral reefs with clear lagoons.
On the mainland of Viti Levu, you'll explore the multi-cultural town of Nadi with its bustling tourism hub on the west coast where your self-drive journey begins. There's so much to see and do in Nadi, when exploring with a rental car in Fiji, anything is possible!
The second half of your trip is on Yanuca Island, just off the southern coast. This paradisiacal hub is perfect to explore the sand dunes of Sigatoka and discover the many pristine beaches of Viti Levu!

Day 1
Arrive in Fiji and Pick Up Your Rental Car

Arrive at Nadi international airport and meet a representative who will escort you to the AVIS office for registration and rental car pick up. Then, you'll drive to your hotel in Nadi and relax for the remainder of the day - welcome to Fiji!

Explore Nadi in Your Fiji Rental Car

Make sure you have a good breakfast this morning to fuel up for a day of adventure! There are so many things to do with your day. We've got the cost covered for the Garden of the Sleeping Giant - a must while in Nadi. Other places that you could drive to today include the Viseisei Village, Sabeto Hot Springs or Fiji Culture Village for traditional Fijian dance and a meal cooked underground. You can finish the day at Port Denarau Marina where you'll find retail outlets, spas, and restaurants.

Drive to Yanuca Island and Relax

Take your time to enjoy the last of Nadi this morning. As you are in charge of the itinerary, you have as much time as you want to swim in the hotel pool and relax on the beach. Then, it’s a scenic drive along the coastal road in your Fiji rental car. You can stop to take photos, enjoy coffees or a meal on the way. Check-in starts at 2 pm. Sit back, relax and enjoy your new location in the south of Vitu Levu.

Explore the South of Viti Levu
Hide details
Jump in your car early this morning to explore the beauty of southern Viti Levu. Just moments from Yanuca Island is Sigatoka town and national park, home to sand dunes that you can explore by jeep or sandboard! Today, you have entrance to Kula Adventure Park as part of your package. However, you can also hop on a river cruise, explore Momi Gunsite, Taveuni Hill fort and get your heart pumping on the Eco Trax Rail Adventure.

Drive to Suva to Explore

After a fresh breakfast this morning you'll hop in the car to drive around. Today's suggestion is Suva which is on the other side of the island. This is a great chance to explore rural Viti Levu as you cruise through the hillsides towards the city. Suva is an interesting mix of modern high-rises and old colonial buildings that face onto a large harbourfront. The city is a long drive from Yanuca, be sure to leave in time to catch the sunset!
