Overview
This 5 day trip to Sri Lanka will take you to some of the most incredible places that Sri Lanka has to offer.
In this short adventure, you will visit the charming city of Kandy which crosses an area of tropical plantations, containing mainly tea. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic which is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites - Sri Lanka has a rich Buddhist heritage, and the first known Buddhist writings were composed on this island.
Another highlight is a trip to Nuwara Eliya Town which is often referred to as ‘Little England’ and has a British-country-village feel to it.

Day 1
Arrive in Sri Lanka and Tour of Kandy

Your 5 day trip to Sri Lanka starts here! A private driver will collect you from the airport and take you on a scenic drive to the city of Kandy - set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city's heart is scenic Kandy Lake which is great for a stroll. Kandy is famed for sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) Shrine. In the evening you will enjoy a traditional cultural dance show.

Day 2
Nuwara Eliya

Today brings a trip to the Royal Botanic Gardens where you can see beautifully kept flowers and vegetation native to Sri Lanka. In the afternoon visit the Ramboda Waterfall viewpoint, the cascading water is a sight to behold. Drive on to Nuwara Eliya which is a city in the hill country of the Central Province. Its name means "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". Have a tour around Lake Gregory which is surrounded by lush scenery and a fresh mountain breeze.

Bentota and Experience White Water Rafting

Today after breakfast you'll visit the highest mountain in Sri Lanka called ‘Piduruthalagala Mountain’. You have the option to go white water rafting in the picturesque Kelani River. Continue further south in the south-west and you'll reach Bentota, a city graced by palm trees, a serene atmosphere and white sandy calm beaches. Feel the ancient art of healing called Ayurveda. There are a plethora of water activities to indulge in or relax at the swimming pool or the beach in the afternoon.

Colombo and Shopping in the Afternoon

This morning after breakfast, you'll visit the Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast. Enjoy an optional river cruise at Madhu Ganga and see the beautiful mangrove islands teeming with wildlife. Visit a turtle hatchery to see how these beautiful creatures are getting a helping hand with a hatchery programme. Proceed to the rich colonial heritage port city of Colombo. Take a relaxing stroll down Marine Drive in the evening.
