Overview
Over four days on an exciting Sri Lanka short tour, you'll cover three of the top destinations; Sigiriya, Minneriya and Kandy!
You'll begin this wonderful journey in the enigmatic city of Sigiriya, where you'll climb to the top of the monolith home to the mighty Sigiriya Lion Fortress, an archaeological miracle.
You'll then travel to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, where you will see many ancient buildings, stupas and temples which were built during different reigns in Polonnaruwa. One of the one exciting parts of the trip will be when you witness the majestic elephant gathering at the Minneriya National Park.
In Kandy, your final stop, you'll learn about the indigenous herbs and plants of Sri Lanka and experience the typical Kandyan culture at a cultural dance program and visit local industries.

Day 1
Begin Your Sri Lanka Short Tour

This morning, you'll meet and greet with the chauffeur guide and transfer directly to the ancient city of Sigiriya. The journey will take around four hours but when you arrive at your rustic, luxurious lodge by the lake, you'll forget all about the journey and truly start your Sri Lanka short tour. You'll check-in and then have the rest of the day to enjoy the lodge's surroundings.

Day 2
Polonnaruwa Ancient City Tour & Minneriya Safari

After having an early breakfast, you'll embark on the journey to visit the Polonnaruwa ancient ruins. You will be able to see various ancient buildings, stupas and statues which belong to different reigns during the Polonnaruwa kingdom. Later in the day, you can witness the majestic gathering of elephants on a Minneriya national Park jeep safari and see many other species of mammals including leopards as well as birds and reptiles.

Day 3
Sigiriya to Kandy & Kandy City Tour

After breakfast, it's a good time to climb the Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress. The climb to the summit takes approximately 60-90 minutes and the terraced top has breathtakingly beautiful panoramic views of the vicinity. In the late afternoon, you'll visit Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest cave in Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, you'll proceed to Kandy and visit different crafts shop en-route and witness the Kandyan cultural dance show later in the evening.
