Overview

This is the classic 21-day ancient route to the Everest region from Kathmandu. Tenjing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary Followed this very route on their way to Everest expedition on 29th May 1953!

You'll begin with an exciting 4WD drive to Jiri via beautiful oriental villages and then you'll follow the original Pioneer Everest Expeditioner’s Trail, crossing Lamjura Pass at 3,530 metres. The portion of the trek from Jiri to Lukla is often quiet and therefore a much better trekking country.

You'll experience Magar, Rai and Sherpa culture in Junbesi and spend a day in the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazar with stunning mountain views from Syangboche Airstrip and Everest from Everest View Hotel.

Over the 22 days, you'll experience Sherpa culture in Khumjung village, visit Tyangboche Monastery, enjoy grand mountain views from Kalapatar and spectacular views of the glacier and Khumbu icefalls during your trek to Everest Base Camp.
