Take the morning to rest after your flight by taking some time to go to the beach, you might want to get acclimatised to the weather and time zone. After lunch, spend a boozy afternoon with the Cachaça Hike where you'll taste different drinks based on the national spirit by visiting local bars in the Lapa neighbourhood.

This morning you can visit the local farmers market and taste local fruits. You'll finish the morning by with a traditional pastel which is a pastry with a tapioca filling, you'll wash this all down with some sugar cane, a great sugar kick in the mid-day heat. In Brazil, we drink coffee in the afternoon, as if it were a religion. You'll learn more about this tradition on a Coffee Experience tour where you'll learn and taste a variety of Brazil's products.

Today, you'll spend the day touring the main attractions of Rio de Janeiro taking time to enjoy Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain and Rio's botanical garden, to name but a few. After a few days of absorbing Brazilian culture and practices in Rio de Janeiro, this is a great opportunity to sneak in some history.

Take the opportunity to enjoy the beaches of Rio de Janeiro or explore some neighbourhoods that you haven't yet seen such as Pedro do Sal, where samba was born on the streets. You can still feel the rhythm pulsing through the arteries of the streets in this part of the city. If you want to relax, you can always spend the day on the legendary Copacabana Beach.

In the morning, you'll make your way to Salvador where you'll check into your hotel. Your hotel is in Pelourinho, the historic centre of the city which you can explore at your leisure today. Salvador is considered both the land of volcanoes and after a walk around the city centre, you'll quickly realise the city is surrounded!

Today, you'll do a panoramic city tour, which includes the historic centre and its many colonial churches. Take a lift at Elevador Lacerda and finish the tour at Mercado Modelo where you'll stop to do some shopping if you wish. Visit the house and cultural centre of famous Brazilian writers, Jorge Amado and Zélia Gatai and the Rio Vermelho neighbourhood to finish the day.

Journey to a neighbourhood in the outskirts of the city to visit a market where you'll learn about the city's Afro-Brazillian culture and history. Then, you'll stop by the Adocci project, a female-led organisation, run by entrepreneurs in the culinary arts in the Uruguai neighbourhood. Here, you'll learn the steps behind cooking food that this area, and these women, are known for before sitting down to get to know them while you eat.

This day is yours for you to enjoy. You may wish to spend your hours sunning it up at one of the beaches or explore one of the neighbourhoods that strike interest. There are many museums and art galleries for you to stroll around. Alternatively, you may wish to join another city tour to get to the historic parts of Salvador.

This morning, you'll say goodbye to Salvador as you are taken to the airport for your flight to Para. Your first stop will be Belem, where you'll check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Ves-o-Peso Market where you'll learn about the regional Amazonian foods and cuisine, and finish up by watching the sunset while enjoying an ice cream.

You'll head to Cotijuba Island by boat, and in just a couple of hours, you'll arrive at a community women's project where you'll learn to cook with them and experience this region's unique cuisine. You'll also explore the beaches and learn about local economic projects like crafts made from the seeds of plants and pottery with indigenous roots.

Rise early with the women in the community and prepare for the day ahead. You'll visit community farms and take a stroll through the jungle, learning about medicinal plants. This is a unique educational project where you'll be talked through the various processes and uses for plants that you can find within the area and learn how to identify them yourself.

Take a walk with your community guide to stop herbs and plants that you have been learning about on your time here and their uses. At the end of the trail, you'll be free to take a leisurely swim in the river to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. When you return to the village, you'll have free time to relax or take some time to visit nearby villages and the local beach.

You'll have the morning and afternoon to spend as you wish on Cotijuba Island. You may wish to go on a walk with the community or spend some time at the beach before you return. You'll take the boat in the late afternoon and spend one more night in Belem.

From Belem, you'll fly to the city of Sao Paulo and then, you'll head to the city of Gonçalves in Minas Gerais. This will take most of the day, arriving early evening to check into the hotel. The remainder of the day is free to rest or stretch your legs in Goncalves.

After enjoying a filling breakfast filled with regional treats at your pousada, your guide will take you on a tour of this rural and mountainous region. Start off visiting a coffee farm, learning about the production of one of Brazil's largest exports. Have lunch on a traditional family sítio. Then, digest with a shot of cachaça and visit the small "alambique" where it is made. Finish the day by learning about cheese production, the iconic 'queijo minas and pick up some cheese to take home!

You'll have the morning to explore the region that you are in, there are many hiking trails around Minas Gerais that will take you to explore this beautiful region. Arrive in Sao Paulo and go to check into your hotel which is part of the Jardim or the Higienopolis neighbourhood. Both are known for their food scene and are close by to each other, so you could explore both when you arrive.

Take a walking tour of the city centre and learn about the history. Stop at a farmers market along the way, as well as a bakery that has been open for 200 years and a church that is dedicated to making bread daily before wandering through the Japanese neighbourhood. Finish your day at the Copan building before grabbing a beer and some food at Casa do Porco.

Visit a quieter part of the city and head to an organic farm on Borore Island where you'll enjoy a meal with the owners and visit some community projects in the Grajau neighbourhood, you'll be picked up by a community guide from Meninos da Billings. This is a very leisurely day and a great way to experience the diversity of lifestyles in the city.
