Today, you'll head back to the airport using the shuttle bus ahead of your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, you'll be met and taken on a road and river transfer to your beautiful lodge located deep within the heart of the Amazon. Hacienda Concepción can only be reached by taking a scenic canoe ride from the town, and once there, you'll see 25 cabanas sit majestically on stilts and a five-room casa grande with high ceilings and a rustic thatched roof are peppered around the property.

This morning, you'll visit Lake Sandoval, a glassy, ox-bow lake located inside the protected Tambopata National Reserve. You'll then board a dugout wooden canoe to quietly paddle through mangroves and glide onto Lake Sandoval, flanked by picture-perfect palms. After lunch at the lodge, you'll take a 20-minute boat ride across the Madre de Dios River to climb the exhilarating Inkaterra Canopy Walkway and navigate the Anaconda Walk. Come nightfall, you'll explore the rainforest on foot.

After breakfast, you'll discover the rainforest's tropical plants and their intriguing medicinal uses by visiting our organic bio-orchard. You'll continue to the 30-hectare Palmetum, a collection of 19 Amazonian palms in a plot reserved for rainforest restoration. After a tasty lunch, you'll enjoy a relaxing paddle in a dugout canoe on Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion’s oxbow shaped lagoon or cocoa. You can fish for piranha-like the local indigenous communities do, using a simple wooden rod.

This morning, you'll enjoy your final breakfast and morning of activities at the Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion Lodge. When you're ready, a boat will take you back to Puerto Maldonado and your driver will meet you to take you to the airport. You'll fly to Cusco and upon arrival, you'll be met once again by a car and taken to your hotel in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You'll have the rest of the evening to relax.

This morning, you'll head out on a privately guided tour to the mysterious ruins at Moray, once used as an Inca crop laboratory. You'll then visit the Andean community of Misminay and share their tasks with local inhabitants, who still preserve ancient Inca traditions. Your final visit is to the large ruins of Ollantaytambo, one of the last stands of the Inca Pachacuti against the Spanish conquistadors in 1536.

Machu Picchu was revealed to the world, when the famous historian, explorer and archaeologist Hiram Bingham stumbled upon the site whilst on an expedition in 1911. Today, your expert guide will escort you on a 2.5-hour privately guided insightful and vivid tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site. The private tour includes stops at the Caretakers Hut, Temple of the Sun, the Royal Tomb, Three Windowed Temple, Intihuatana/Solar Clock, and the quarry.

You'll have a free morning to explore Machu Picchu once again if you wish to. This is your opportunity to visit some of the other attractions that are not included on the standard tour. The entrance to Machu Picchu Mountain Trek will be included, tickets to Machu Picchu Mountain are subject to availability. In the afternoon, you'll take the Vistadome Train to Poroy Station, via Ollantaytambo. Your driver will collect you in Poroy and take you to your hotel.

You'll have a free morning to relax. In the afternoon, you will explore the city of Cusco, known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here you will start your tour at the iconic San Pedro market, a local market where you can see the colours, flavours and traditions of modern Cusco. The visit continues with Koricancha Temple, the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo archaeological site and the Plaza de Armas (main square), where you will visit the beautiful Cathedral.
