After breakfast, you'll make your way to Sigiriya, one of the former capitals of Sri Lanka. You will experience sri Lankan local village tour including a local foods. After lunch, climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Perched on top of rock that rises up from the otherwise flat terrain, this rock fortress is almost a phenomenon. At the top, explore the perfectly preserved ruins. Return to your hotel in the afternoon to relax.

Today is full day of adventure to explore the many sites that surround Sigiriya. You'll start with another former capital, Polonnaruwa which was an ancient stronghold of Sri Lanka. After exploring the ancient city, you'll break for lunch before continuing to Minneriya National Park for a safari drive to discover Sri Lanka's wildlife. At the end of the safari, you'll return to Sigiriya to rest before dinner.

Leaving Sigiriya behind, you'll make your way to Kandy, the capital of the Hill Country, steeped in history and culture. On the way, visit Matale Spice Garden to learn about Sri Lanka's infamous spice production. After some time to rest, you'll visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a sacred site to Buddhists, home to Buddha's tooth. Set on Kandy Lake, you can walk around the city after the tour.

Today, you'll be free to explore the city and beyond. The Hill Country has many viewpoints and chances to learn about the infamous Ceylon tea! You'll visit the royal botanical gardens as an introduction to the flora of Kandy before you are free to roam at your leisure. Kandy has a calm, laid-back atmosphere that welcomes a cup of tea and a good book - there's no better place for this moment!

Leaving Kandy behind, we go deeper into the Hill Country, past endless hills and fields that were once A British tea empire during the colonial era. On the way, you'll visit Blue Field Tea Factory and plantation to learn the art of tea picking and taste some yourself. When you arrive in Nuwara Eliya, you'll be free to relax in this sleepy town and walk around a little.

After breakfast proceed to Galle in the most adventurous way possible. First up, experience a hill country train journey from Nanuoya to Hatton, one of the most scenic journeys in the world. Continue onto Kithulgala to experience 5 turns of rapids ranging from grades 2 & 4. Nanu Oya and Hatton are misty peaks in the central highlands. The landscape is simply amazing.You will arrive in the historic city of Galle late afternoon in time to watch the sunset from the colonial ramparts.

On this morning of your Sri Lanka vacation, relax at one of the beaches that surround Galle. Be it Koggala, Mirissa or Bentota, all of the beaches that you could visit this morning are pristine and quiet. In the afternoon, you'll be taken to Galle Dutch Fort to learn about the colonial days of this port town while walking around the walls. Return to your hotel late afternoon and relax!

Today, you'll make the journey to Colombo at a leisurely pace. Your first stop is on the Madu River where you'll hop in a boat to go through the mangroves to learn about the unique ecosystems that thrive in this part of Sri Lanka. Continuing with the nature theme, you'll then stop at a turtle hatchery to learn about the conservation efforts on these beaches to ensure the turtles are safe. If you are lucky, some may be released into the sea that day! A mesmerising experience!
