Today, you'll travel west of Hanoi to Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta. You'll walk along tiny ancient alleys to visit Mong Phu temple and discover the daily life and farming methods of the Vietnamese peasants along the terraces, with a stop in their 200- and 400-year-old houses. You'll return to Hanoi for lunch, then take a cyclo tour around Hanoi's Old Quarter to visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Enjoy a Water Puppet Show in the evening.

Today, you will be taken on a full-day tour of Hanoi. Among many other sites you'll pass by, you'll visit Ba Dinh Square, where the late President Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam's Independence on 2nd September 1945. You will then see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. After lunch, you'll visit the Ethnology Museum, Dong Xuan Market and Opera House before enjoying a local dinner in the evening.

After breakfast, you'll depart for Halong Bay, which is recognised as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. On arrival, you'll board the boat for check-in and lunch will be served while cruising among hundreds of islets and exploring unspoiled pockets of Halong Bay. You'll trek to Titov Mount for a magnificent panoramic view or join a cooking class onboard today. In the evening, you'll have a seafood dinner and try squid fishing. Today will be a highlight of your Northern Vietnam tour package.

After breakfast, you'll transfer to one of the most beautiful and biggest caves on Halong Bay, “Surprise Cave”. Afterwards, you'll continue sailing past rock formations such as Man’s Head islet, Tortoise islet, Butterfly Cave, Lion islet and Bai Tho mountain. You'll enjoy lunch as the boat weaves through strange-shaped limestone rock formations. You'll arrive back at Halong City around noon to disembark from the boat and drive to Ninh Binh, your next destination.

After breakfast, you'll check out the hotel and take a boat trip to visit the Trang An cave complex, see the scenery of the mountain and rivers. After lunch, you will pay a visit to Bai Dinh Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues and the biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam which stands at 10 metres in height and weighs 100 tonnes. In the afternoon, you'll return to Hanoi for the final night of your Northern Vietnam tour package.
