This four-day Yangon and Golden Rock tour is a great way to spend your Myanmar tour.
On this short-but-sweet trip, you'll visit one of the important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Asia and drive to Kyaikhtiyo, the Golden Rock, a small pagoda standing on a large golden rock that appears to be falling off a cliff.

Day 1
Yangon Arrival & City Sightseeing

Today, you will arrive in Yangon and start sightseeing around the Yangon city to see the most important attractions within the city. You'll visit the Central Post Office, Sule Pagoda, Independence Monument, Little India, Chaukhtatgyi Temple, Kandawgyi Lake and Shwedagon Pagoda. You'll enjoy lunch and dinner at local restaurants which will be recommended to you.

Scenic Journey from Yangon to the Golden Rock

Leaving Yangon in the morning, you'll enjoy a scenic journey by road for your Golden Rock tour. The Golden Rock is an amazing sight and one of the three most famous religious sites in Myanmar. Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is a small pagoda built on the top of a granite boulder covered with gold leaves pasted on by its male devotees. The golden rock itself looks like it could tumble into the ravine at any moment but luckily, a few well-placed Buddha hairs stop it doing so.

Travel from the Golden Rock to Bago & Yangon

This morning, you'll transfer from the Golden Rock to Yangon. On the way, you'll visit the beautiful region of Bago. You will also pay a visit to Htauk Kyant War Cemetery which is the largest of the three war cemeteries in Myanmar - a very moving experience. You'll arrive in Yangon in the early evening to enjoy the last night of your tour.

Yangon Sightseeing & Departure
