Overview
Over just three days you'll go deep into the heart of Mekong life, getting an insider understanding of how this mighty river acts as a source of life, nourishment and income for those that live around it.
Starting in My Tho and gradually making your way towards the Cambodian border, you'll have the unique chance to learn about Cham culture that spread across much of Southern and Central Vietnam, as well as climbing Sam mountain to take in the views of one of the most beautiful areas of the country.
This Mekong Delta 3 day tour is recommended for anyone who has accommodation in Saigon already and wishes to discover the Mekong Delta, its exciting life and take a break from the noise and rush of the hectic city centres.

Day 1
Explore My Tho and Can Tho

Your Mekong Delta 3 day tour starts here! Today, you'll begin your adventure by heading south to My Tho and Ben Tre, the homeland of coconut and family factories with local products. You'll stop en route to visit Vinh Trang pagoda. Upon arrival in My Tho, you will take a small boat to go between canals into gardens and rural houses, where a lot of families produce coconut candy. You'll feed the bees for honey or plant juicy fruit and stop to meet some families and their small factories.

Day 2
From Can Tho to Chau Doc

This morning, you'll visit Cai Rang floating market to enjoy how the Mekong “boat people” come to markets on the river every day. You'll then head northwest to Chau Doc where you'll visit the Tra Su and the wild bird's sanctuary en route, cruising smoothly with small boats to discover the arrays of splendid canals deep into the forest, watching storks, cranes and other tropical birds. You'll return to the mainland to drive up Sam Mountain to watch the sunset over the Vietnam-Cambodia border.

Chau Doc and Departure

This morning, you will take a boat to visit the fish farms, where fish are bred in cages suspended under floating houses on Mekong River. You'll then stop at an islet to visit a Cham minority group village where people are continuing their traditional simple life on stilt houses with fishing and weaving as their main source of income whilst practising their daily Muslim ceremonies. In the afternoon, you'll travel back to Saigon. This is the end of your Mekong Delta 3 day tour.
