You'll visit the ruins of the Doric Temple of Poseidon, the Aragonese castle, bridge, connecting the island of Borgo Antico with the peninsula of Borgo Nuovo and the Cathedral of San Cataldo, built by the Byzantines in the second half of the tenth century, although remodelled with a Baroque façade in the mid-1700s. The guided tour starts from Piazza Castello, the centre of the major monuments of the city.
