Over nine breathtaking days, you'll experience the best Sri Lanka holiday.

Beginning in Negombo, you'll start your journey by travelling to Sigiriya, home to the famous Lion's Rock. Here, you'll climb to the top of the sacred rock to be rewarded with magnificent panoramic views. Embark on a jeep safari to witness the majestic gathering of elephants among many other mammals including leopards, reptiles and birds in the Minneriya National Park.

Over the next few days, you'll experience the wonders of traditional Ayurveda practices and indigenous herbs and plants of Sri Lanka in Kandy; visit the 'Little England' of Sri Lanka in Nuwara Eliya and experience the typical Kandyan culture.

Whilst travelling, you'll be able to admire the beauty of gushing waterfalls and tea plantations, learn the process of what makes Ceylon Tea one of the best in the world and stroll around the famous Gregory Lake and relax in its cold evening breeze.

Take on one of the world's most scenic train trips to Ella through valleys, lush meadows and other breathtaking scenery before visiting Bentota and Galle. You'll finish your trip in the hustle and bustle of the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo.

Day 1

Arrive in Negombo

Today, you'll arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport where you'll meet and greet with the chauffeur guide. You'll then transfer to Negombo for your overnight stay to overcome jetlag and recharge for an exciting adventure. After checking into your hotel, you'll have the rest of the day free to spend as you wish, you may just want to relax after your long journey.

Day 2

Negombo to Sigiriya & Minneriya National Park

Begin your Sri Lankan adventure with the journey to the ancient city of Sigiriya today. Home to the famous Lion's Rock, Sigiriya was a thriving capital in 5 BC and was later abandoned as Kingdoms moved towards the Southern parts of Sri Lanka. Later, you'll proceed on a late afternoon safari to spot Asia's largest elephant gathering. The Minneriya national park has 24 species of mammals and over 170 species of birds and out of the 25 species of reptiles recorded in the park 8 are endemic.

Day 3

Sigriya Lions Rock & Kandy Sightseeing

This morning, you'll climb the Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress after breakfast. The climb to the summit takes approximately 60-90 minutes and the terraced top has breathtakingly beautiful panoramic views of the vicinity. You'll then travel to Kandy and head out on a Kandy city tour upon arrival which will include visits to a Spice garden, the Gem Museum, Wood Carving Factory and the Kandy Lake followed by viewing an entertaining Kandyan Cultural Dance Show performance later in the evening.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy and witness the daily morning veneration ceremony. You'll then drive to Nuwara Eliya and en route, you'll stop to see the breathtaking waterfalls such as Ramboda Falls and Lover's Leap Falls before hotel check-in. Later, you'll get to know the full process of tea production at a Tea Factory, walk through a lush Strawberry Farm and take a scenic afternoon walk at the famous Gregory Lake.

Scenic Train Ride to Ella

Scenic Train Ride to Ella

The train journey to Ella is known as one of the most scenic train rides in the world. You will be sweeping through lush green meadows, beautiful tea plantations and picturesque misty mountains. Upon arrival, you'll visit the magnificent Nine Arch Bridge, built under the British rule using only stone bricks and cement due to lack of steel resources. You'll also take a hike to Ella Rock in the late afternoon. The panoramic views are mesmerizing.

En route to Bentota, you can experience zip-lining on Sri Lanka's first-ever zip-line, located amidst the luscious green estates of Ella. Later, when you arrive in Bentota, you'll head out on a boat ride on the Madu River which is dotted with small islands and surrounded by lush mangrove forests home to dozens of incredible animal species. You'll also visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery and experience releasing baby turtles at sunset.

Today, you'll explore the beauty of historic Galle. Built by the Dutch at the beginning in 1663, Galle's core is the Fort, a walled enclave surrounded on three sides by the ocean. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this historic city is a delight to explore on foot, an endlessly exotic old trading port blessed with imposing Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient mosques and churches, grand mansions and museums. Wander its rambling lanes and pass stylish cafes, quirky boutiques and restored hotels.
