Day 1

Today, you'll arrive in the capital city, Zagreb, to begin your 8 day Croatia itinerary. You'll be welcomed at the airport by your guide who will transfer you to your hotel in the city. Once you arrive, you'll be able to check-in then enjoy some free time in Zagreb. Your guide will provide recommendations for where to eat, what to see and what to do.

Day 2

Explore Plitvice Lakes National Park

Explore Plitvice Lakes National Park

You'll leave Zagreb behind today and head towards Plitvice Lakes National Park. During the drive south, you'll pass by lots of small and quaint villages, such as Rastoke, where you can stop and admire the scenery. Once you arrive in Plitvice, you will go hiking in Croatia's most famous national park which has been a part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1979. You will walk the guided paths, see many waterfalls and experience the best sights it can offer.

After a day of exploring Plitvice National Park, you'll head further down the coast to the city of Zadar where you'll be able to see layers of history, from Roman ruins, through medieval buildings to modern architecture. After exploring Zadar, you'll head to Skradin, a small town on the banks of River Krka which sits at the entrance to the Krka National Park. Here, you'll be able to explore the local marina and the fortress at the top of the hill!

Krka National Park to Split via Trogir

You'll wake up on the entrance to one of Croatia’s highlights, the Krka National Park, aptly named after the river. You'll set out for a full day of exploring the beautiful scenery, you will also see and learn how people used to live in the old days along the banks of the river by visiting the restored ethnic village within the national park. Before arriving in Split, you'll stop in Trogir, a beautiful coastal city more than 2,000 years old and part of UNESCO’s World Heritage family.

Today, you will sail away on a passenger catamaran toward your next destination, Hvar. With more than 2,700 sunny hours yearly on average, this island is an extremely desirable place to visit and to enjoy all the beauties of the Mediterranean climate. Hvar itself has been inhabited for over a thousand years and holds a great deal of history in its lands which you can begin to explore starting with the beautiful and picturesque, Hvar Town, today.

Hvar to Korčula

Hvar to Korčula

Today, you'll travel from Hvar to Korčula via ferry. The name, Korcula, stands for two things, the island Korčula and the town Korčula. The name itself derives from the Greek 'Korkyra', which demonstrates how the island was already inhabited in B.C in Greek times. Surrounded by a wall and dotted with towers that protect its people, the Old Town maintains its medieval charm, dotted with cafes, restaurants and even, an open-air cinema. When you arrive, you'll have the afternoon to explore.

Onwards to Dubrovnik

Onwards to Dubrovnik

Today, you'll leave Korčula via ferry and go to Dubrovnik, the city known as the Pearl of the Adriatic. Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with some of the biggest city walls in Europe. A great way to explore is to walk the city walls; at certain places, the wall is approximately 75 foot high, which makes it a great sightseeing point to take photos of beautiful scenery. You may also want to take the cable car up to Srđ Hill for an even better view and explore the Dubrovnik Cathedral.
