Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam! Hanoi is one of Asia’s most enchanting cities, full of culture, history and the engaging contradictions of a rapidly developing and deeply traditional society. Upon arrival, you'll be met by your guide and driver who will take you to your hotel in the city to check in. After checking in you'll have some time to explore Hanoi's old quarter before heading to a traditional water puppet show and the night market.

Today, you will visit some of the most highlighted attractions in Hanoi to get to know the vibrant and historical capital of Vietnam. You'll begin the tour by visiting the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi, followed by the famous Ba Dinh square, the Temple of Literature and Ngoc Son temple. Finally, in the evening, you'll enjoy a traditional cyclo through narrow streets of Hanoi and its Old Quarter. This was once, before motorbikes, the only way to get around the city.

Today, you'll drive out of the city centre to visit the ancient village of Duong Lam - one of the most well-preserved villages formed hundreds of years ago along the Red River Delta in Northern Vietnam. You'll begin the day by walking to the village and wondering around the houses that date back over 300 years. You'll then visit the Mia Pagoda which was rediscovered in 1692 but remains a mystery and finally Chuy Thay, also known as the Temple of the Master.

Today, you'll leave Hanoi behind for the day and drive south to visit the ancient capital city of Vietnam - Ninh Binh. Here, you'll take a traditional boat trip on a sampan where you'll pass by incredible scenic views and landscapes of this beautiful region including secluded caves and magical mountains. In the afternoon, after a local lunch, you'll head out to explore Ba Dinh Temple, Southeast Asia's largest Buddhist temple complex home to over 500 carved Buddha images.

Hanoi to Halong Bay

Hanoi to Halong Bay

This morning you'll depart from Hanoi, and head to Halong Bay for your two-day and one-night cruise in this beautiful UNESCO-protected emerald bay. Upon arriving at the dock, you'll board your ship and begin sailing around the bay and marvelling at its wonderful limestone karsts which shoot out of the water. After lunch onboard, you'll visit the Surprise Cave and Ti Tiv Island. In the evening, you'll watch the sunset on the boat before dinner and enjoy some squid fishing after dinner.

Ha Long Bay Cruise & Back to Hanoi

This morning, if you like, you can rise early to begin your day with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck of the boat - the perfect way to start the day. After breakfast, you'll kayak to Luon Cave and enjoy some more sights of Halong Bay, cruising through the wonderful limestone karsts. Then, after a short cooking demonstration onboard learning how to make a spring roll, you'll head to the shore. You'll then board a bus back to Hanoi and upon arriving, you'll have the rest of the evening to enjoy.
