This week-long tour will show you Japan's most mesmerising sights. You'll have time to get to know the city before you go on a Tokyo to Hakone tour including Mount Fuji where you'll explore volcanoes by hiking along the edge of a caldera.

You'll spend the last day of the trip to Kyoto where you'll discover the history and culture behind some of the most beautiful temples in the region. This trip is flexible yet structured, allowing you time to explore each location at your own pace.

Day 1

When you arrive in Tokyo, you'll be taken to your hotel in the city centre. Once settled, you can take some well-deserved rest or explore the city at your own pace. Tokyo is a vibrant, fun city that is best explored a section at a time. Take the rest of the day to get acquainted with the area and the wonderful Japanese culture.

Today, you'll start your tour of Japan with a scenic tour of Tokyo starting at the World Trade Centre for a panoramic view of the city where, on a clear day, you'll see Mount Fuji. You'll drive past Ginza on the way to Senso-Ji Temple and Nakamise Street, both iconic attractions in Tokyo. In the late afternoon, you'll take a leisurely cruise on the Sumida River, a scenic journey which is extremely popular during cherry blossom season.

Day 3

A Tokyo to Hakone Tour with Mount Fuji

A Tokyo to Hakone Tour with Mount Fuji

You'll be picked up from your hotel and taken to Lake Ashi which is on the caldera of Mount Hakone where you'll have stunning views of Mount Fuji. Then, you'll take a seven-minute ride to Mount Komagatake where you can walk around the peak; the Hakone Shrine is at the top of the peak which is accessed via the cableway. Once back in Tokyo, you can explore Ginza in the late evening.

You'll have the day to explore parts of the city that you have not yet touched. Perhaps, you could take this opportunity to do some shopping or learn a little more about Japanese culture. If it's a clear day, you should head up to the top of the Tokyo Tower for a stunning view of the cityscape. If heights aren't your thing, then you can head to Harajuku or perhaps Akihabara, both great examples of Tokyo's quirky nature.

Day 5

Kyoto Full-Day Tour

Kyoto Full-Day Tour

Today, you'll spend the day exploring the temples of Kyoto to get to grips with Japan's culture. The highlight of the day is Sanjusangen-do, the longest wooden structure in the world. You'll also enjoy the view from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, where you will be able to see over of Kyoto. In the late evening, you'll arrive back in Tokyo and have some free time to spend as you wish.
