Overview
Experience the wonders of North Vietnam in six days splitting your time between Hanoi, one of the loveliest cities in Asia, Halong Bay, 1,600 magnificent islands and islets, and the Mai Chau Hideaway Resort on the Hoa Binh Lake, a unique ecological resort.
Beginning in the city with a one-thousand-year history, you'll explore with a local guide, tasting the many dishes of the capital and observing how Hanoi still retains a small-town provincial charm and a French legacy with wide, tree-lined boulevards, parks, grand villas and an artistic, café society.
Heading out to the coast, you'll board a cruise and spend a night in Halong Bay floating amongst the magnificent scenery of limestone pillars, caves and floating villages. The last few days of your Vietnam itinerary will be spent on the shores of Hoa Binh Lake staying in a rustic stilt-house spending your days doing yoga, kayaking, cooking classes or relaxing at the spa.

Day 1
Welcome to Hanoi!

Upon arrival, your driver will meet you at the Noi Bai International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Widely acknowledged as one of the loveliest cities in Asia, Hanoi still retains a small-town provincial charm and unique intermingle with a French legacy wide, tree-lined boulevards, parks, grand villas and an artistic, café society. You'll have the afternoon to explore the Old Quarter by cyclo and watch a water puppet show before heading for a typical Vietnamese dinner.

Day 2
Hanoi to Halong Bay Cruise

Early this morning, you'll drive to Halong Bay via the Red River Delta with a short break on the way. You'll be welcomed on board your Halong bay Cruise at the Tuan Chau Harbor. You'll enjoy a welcome drink and a brief introduction by the cruise manager before checking in. For the rest of the day, you'll enjoy the cruise program with the beautiful scenery and join in some activities such as kayaking, swimming and visiting the Halong pearl farm at the Lan Ha Bay.

Day 3
Cruise Back to Land & Drive Back to Hanoi

This morning, you'll rise early to enjoy a Tai Chi class on the deck or simply relax with a cup of tea and enjoy the view. After breakfast, you'll make your way to Sung Sot Cave to admire these magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. After brunch, you'll cruise into the harbour ready for your transfer back to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you can explore Hanoi's Old Quarter. Later on, you'll have dinner at KOTO restaurant where street children learn a trade by working in the restaurant.

Travel to Mai Chau Hideaway

Depart from Hanoi to the Mai Chau Hideaway through National Road No 6 to Ba Khan Village. You'll enjoy the landscape along Da River on your journey. Mai Chau HideAway is a unique ecological resort in the heart of Hoa Binh Lake surrounded by the green of wide-open nature with lake, trees, and space of mountains and forests. Take part in many activities such as yoga, kayaking in the heart of Hoa Binh Lake, joining a cooking class or relaxing at the spa.

Last Morning at Mai Chau Hideaway & Back to Hanoi

This morning, from the resort, you can take a boat trip and do some kayaking on the Hoa Binh Lake, the biggest lake of Vietnam. You can visit the floating fishing houses and learn about the floating local fish farms. You can also climb up to visit the Fairy Pond before making your way back to the resort. You'll have lunch back at the resort before jumping in the car back to Hanoi where you'll settle into your hotel for your last night and have a delicious Vietnamese dinner.
