Overview
In 6 days, you will have an opportunity to discover the highlights of North Vietnam. Starting in the capital, Hanoi you'll have a quick tour around the city, where you can learn so much about the thousand-year history and culture of this amazing city.
Continue the trip to the North West to visit Sapa town and the surrounding ethnic villages, with a unique lifestyle and breathtaking mountainous landscape. After that, relax with an overnight cruise in the World Heritage of Halong Bay. Although the trip is condensed, it's one to remember, as you witness some of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam.

Day 1
Begin Your Hanoi Sapa and Halong Bay Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Hanoi airport, your tour guide and driver will greet you and escort you to your hotel. After that, take part in a fantastic city tour in Hanoi with visits to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his personal residence; the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, then continue to the Museum of Ethnology. Enjoy a one-hour rickshaw tour around Hanoi Old Quarter, then watch a traditional water puppet show.

Day 2
Cat Cat Village and Sapa

After breakfast, you will drive to Sapa on the new national highway that will take around five hours. You can stop for a break and take photos en route. In the afternoon, visit Cat Cat Village where you can meet the H'mong people. You can enjoy the beautiful view from the village and see the traditional dance performed by the ethnic people.

Day 3
The H'Mong and Giay Villages

Today, your beautiful trekking tour will start with a short drive out of Sapa town to Y Linh Ho Village. On the way, you can stop at some viewpoints to enjoy the panorama view of the valley. You'll start the trekking route to Y Linh Ho village where you will see the stunning view of Muong Hoa Valley and learn about the daily life of the Black H'Mong minority and their customs. Continue to Lao Chai Village of Black H'Mong and to Ta Van Village of Giay.

After early breakfast, depart to the local ethnic markets where you will see people of different hill tribes gathering in one place. The markets in Northern Vietnam are always the colourful meeting place for the hill tribes and a highlight for many Sapa trips. Depending on the day, markets can be held in different regions.

Day 5
Drive to Halong Bay

Set off at 8 am for a 3.5-hour drive through the Red River Delta, which offers plenty of chances for taking photos of Vietnamese farmers tilling the vast green paddy fields. Arrive at Halong City, check in and board your junk and enjoy the journey in the amazing bay. Savour a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as you sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, enjoy some activities in the bay, or just spend some time relaxing. Dinner is served on board.

Halong Bay Cruise and Departure

This is the last day of your Hanoi Sapa and Halong Bay itinerary. Wake up early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise. Enjoy a light breakfast before setting out to explore nearby islands. Return to the junk to take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay. Return to the pier then drive back to Hanoi Airport for your flight back home. Goodbye and hope to see you again.
