Overview
This five-day Poonhill trek is a wonderful, short trek in Nepal's Annapurna Region.
Over five days, you'll experience the magical panoramic view of the Himalayas, meet and mingle with the kind Gurung people and make memories as you walk through the colourful rhododendron woods.

Itinerary
Day 1
Seven-Hour Scenic Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

Today, you will be transferred to the tourist bus station where you will catch a bus to Pokhara. You'll enjoy a seven-hour scenic drive to Pokhara, stopping at Damauli or nearby for lunch and continuing after lunch to reach Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful valley, with panoramic views of Annapurna, Machapuchare in the north, Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east. The town of Pokhara is set on the banks of the Phewa Lake. You'll explore the lakeside in the evening.

Day 2
Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga

After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and embark on a one hour and a half drive to Neyapul where you will start your short trek in Nepal. Enjoy a 30-minute trek to Birenthanti where you will experience a delicious Nepali lunch. Continue for an easy three-hour trek to approach Tikhedhunga. Once you arrive, you will check into a local teahouse and explore around Tikhedhunga and take in the stunning nature of the area.

Day 3
Trek to Ghorepani
Hide details
You will check out of your teahouse after breakfast and then head towards your next destination. The trek today will start with a two-hour steep climb to Ullery, where you will stop for a tea break. Then you'll continue on a gradual uphill hike to Nangethanti where you will have lunch. Continue to walk after lunch to approach Ghorepani. Here you will check into a teahouse and you can explore around Ghorepani in your free time or enjoy the sunset view in the evening.

Day 4
Sunrise at Poonhill, Trek Back to Nayapul & Drive to Pokhara
Hide details
Today you will hike to Poonhill, at 3210 metres, for the sunrise. Here, you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchchhre. You'll return to Ghorepani for breakfast and to check out of the tea-house. You will follow the same route back down to Tikhedhunga, stop for lunch and continue to Nayapul. It is a 90-minute drive back to Pokhara. Here, you will check into your hotel and explore the surrounding lakeside in your free time.
