Overview
This tour exposes you to the unique Uganda mountain gorillas to witness the endangered species in their natural habitat.
You cannot discuss travel in Uganda, without mentioning gorilla tracking; Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is best known for exactly that as it is home to the largest concentration of mountain gorillas in the world.
During your adventure, you can also expect to see elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys and various small antelope, as well as 23 bird species which are restricted to the Albertine Rift.

Itinerary
Day 1
Kampala Arrival

Upon your arrival, you will be met and warmly welcomed by our representative. You will be transferred to your hotel and receive a short briefing about your journey ahead. In the afternoon, there will be an optional Kampala city tour to visit historical sites such as monuments and religious sites. Your evening is free, you can dine at the hotel or, if you prefer, you can head into the city.

Day 2
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The day will start with an early breakfast, then begin the trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive is long but with exciting with stopovers along the way. The first will be the Uganda Equator, which provides a great photo opportunity. Continue to lunch and drive through the Switzerland of Africa, with the road winding through many hills and valleys, with distant views of the volcanoes.

Day 3
Gorilla Tracking Experience
Hide details
Breakfast early and head out for your gorilla tracking experience. You will walk through the densely forested hills where the Uganda mountain gorillas relax, camouflage by the vegetation. It is a truly inspiring moment when you finally meet these gentle giants playing, eating and lazing among the trees. Tracking in Bwindi requires stamina and can often take most of the day.

Return to Kampala
Hide details
Breakfast early, check out and drive back to Kampala. You will once again stop en-route for lunch at Agip Motel. Arrive in Kampala and check into the Biraj International Hotel and relax in your hotel after a long drive. Your evening is free, you will be able to dine at the hotel or travel into the city to discover the local foods in the centre.

When the time has come to leave for the airport our friendly drivers transfer you there at the required time. If the airport transfer is late, then you can have a quick city tour around Kampala’s famous and historical sites as you wish, then drop you off to the airport in time for your flight and see you off.
