Overview

Spend four days Wine Tasting in Croatia, starting with Dubrovnik - unique for its impressive medieval forts, churches, monuments and palaces. Then, you'll move on to the extraordinary wine-tasting path of vineyards in Peninsula of Peljesac and the island of Korcula.

Wine Tasting in Croatia is unique as Vineyards are planted almost exclusively in the rugged native grape variety of Plavac Mali - a grape that is symbolic of this region and its roots in winemaking. Grapevines have adorned the southern slopes of the Peljesac Peninsula since the beginning of mankind.

The Plavac Mali grape variety thrives remarkably well in such sunbleached, Karst soil, it is also the reason that grape of the king of Croatian red wines, Dingac, is cultivated. The ancient wine culture of Croatia is the origin of the most famous American grape, the Zinfandel, and this is your chance to taste a top-quality original.

Moving on to Korcula Island: rich in vineyards, olive groves and small villages, wine connoisseurs will adore sampling its wine. Arguably the best of all Croatian whites are produced from pošip grapes, which are only grown here and the Pelješac Peninsula, respectively. The grk grape, cultivated around Lumbarda, also produces quality dry white wine which you will have the chance to try.

Your four-day wine adventure balance history, culture with the four senses to create the ultimate experience of the south.
