Overview

On arrival in Lima, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Lima, the capital of Peru, sits on the country's arid Pacific coast. Founded in 1535, its colonial centre is well preserved, but today Lima is a bustling metropolis and one of South America’s largest cities. The city is home to the various museums including the Museo Larco and the Museo de la Nación, tracing the history of Peru’s ancient civilisations. Lima is known as the “gastronomical capital of the Americas”.

Guided Lima Walking Tour in Barranco & Free Time

Your guide will pick you up from the hotel to start the Lima walking tour through the colourful streets of Barranco, a favourite neighbourhood of local artists. Along the way, in addition to discovering authentic works of urban art in the form of murals, you will also visit places such as the Bridge of Sighs, the Hermitage of Barranco, the Plaza Chabuca Granda and the Bajada de Baños. Finally, you'll enjoy a delicious snack before returning to the hotel.

Guided Tour of Pachacamac

The tour begins in the traditional district of Barranco, following a visit to the Chorrillos district, once the most famous seaside district in Lima. You'll arrive at Pachacamac, the most important ceremonial centre on the coast of Peru in pre-Hispanic times. Here, you can see its various constructions made of clay dating from different centuries. Throughout time, Pachacamac was occupied by different cultures such as the Lima Culture. You'll explore with a guide before returning to Lima.
