Overview
During this four-day trip, you will explore the leafy backstreets of Mandalay and ride out into the surrounding countryside on bike.
You will visit bustling markets, cottage industries and tea shops and will also be taken for a morning culinary adventure through the street stalls and tea houses while on your sightseeing Mandalay tour!
You will also get to enjoy the ancient capital of Ava by a mountain bike, a genuine taste of adventure by visiting remote place rarely visited by tourists and enjoy the sunset behind the iconic U Bein’s Bridge!

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Mandalay & Sightseeing

Upon your arrival, your guide will meet and greet you at the airport. Then, you'll transfer to your hotel for check-in. After a short rest, you'll continue to your sightseeing Mandalay tour including Mahamuni Pagoda, traditional workshops and observing the production of wood carvings, kalaga tapestries and gold-leaf. Next, you'll visit Kuthodaw Pagoda with its 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. You'll walk to Shwenandaw Monastery before enjoying the sunset at Mandalay Hill.

Day 2
Morning Foodie Tours & Evening Sunset Tour

This morning, you will travel by classic bicycle rickshaw, a leisurely way to take in the passing suburban scenes. Then, you'll sample the famous delicacies of Myanmar food and stretch your legs at a colourful local market with some unique insights into local customs and culture. In the afternoon, you will ride along shady trails through the ruins of the ancient capitals of Ava and Amarapura. You'll catch the sunset from a boat on Taungthaman Lake.

Day Trip to Pyin Oo Lwin

A scenic two-hour drive takes you to the former British hill station of Pyin Oo Lwin which is home to many ethnic tribes as well as a considerable number of Nepalese and Hindu who migrated during the British occupation. Many reminders of the colonial era are still present in this town, including brick and timber houses. You'll stop at the Botanical Gardens, 432 acres of leafy gardens and continue to the local market to see the multicolour flowers and vegetables on sale.

Morning Ride Tour & Departure from Mandalay
Hide details
Today, you'll ride through leafy side streets and quiet lanes for a chance to see daily life up close and personal. You'll stop to chat with locals you meet and keep your taste buds entertained along the way with sweet treats. You'll finish with lunch at one of Mandalay’s tea shops. Your guide will introduce you to bamboo weaving, fan making, basketry and other livelihoods that are part of the local heritage. Afterwards, you will be brought to Mandalay airport for your departure flight.
