Today, you make your way into the Khmer Empire of Angkor. Your drive will be broken up by your first sightings of Angkorian architecture. You'll visit Prasat Sambor Prei Kuk and Kampong Kdei Old Bridge on the way to Siem Reap, the gateway to the ruins of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th–15th centuries. The Kampng Kdei Old Bridge is particularly interesting, as it connects to Wat Phou in Laos and to the Champa temples in Central Vietnam, forming the 'Royal Trail'.

Head out into Angkor from your hotel in Siem Reap. Your first stop will be Angkor Thom, the former capital of ancient Angkor. This vast building was used as the administrative and religious centre of the Khmer Empire. You'll stop for lunch after visiting the ancient city before moving onto the most famous of them all, Angkor Wat, a combination of architectural styles, using the gallery method and mountain method, which is only the beginning of Angkor Wat's revolutions.

You'll leave Kep behind for Sihanoukville in a private car to get a speed boat to Koh Rong. You'll stay at Sok San Beach Resort for the remainder of your trip which offers a wide range of activities, both in the sea or land-based activities. It's up to you what you do for the next few days. You may want to spend it at the beach, or you may wish to get active with a diving course, horse-riding or kayaking.
