Overview
Over the course of this 2-day Myanmar trip you will take a look back at history in the Allied War Cemetery and witness one of the country’s most revered pilgrimage sites, Golden Rock Pagoda and visit ancient temples and pagodas as well as observing daily lives of monks at the Monastery in Bago.
We will also enjoy an authentic exploration of village life and experience biking through the fields and some time with the welcoming and local village people.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Yangon, Transfer to Bago & Admire the Golden Rock

Today, you'll start your Myanmar trip by leaving Yangon in a private car with your guide to visit the war cemetery in Taukkyan. You'll then continue to Bago where you'll visit the Kha Khat Wine Monastery. On arrival at Kyaiktiyo base camp, you'll head up the hill in trucks serving mainly local pilgrims. You'll spend the afternoon on the platform and then go down to Kin Pun base camp by trucks. It is then a 10-minute walk to your hotel where you'll stay the night.

Travel from the Golden Rock to Bago for a Biking Trip & Head Back to Yangon

This morning, in a private car with a local guide, you will head to a small town behind Bago. On arrival, you'll meet your local guide and start an active biking trip through the fields to see the village life along the old Dhammazedi road. In the afternoon, you'll continue by car towards Thongwa to visit the lively market before crossing the river and arriving in downtown Yangon where your trip will come to an end.
