Overview

This 2 week Vietnam tour offers a great balance of relaxation and adventure. Start your journey in the capital of Hanoi and explore its amazing lifestyle and customs. Then, travel to Ta Xua commune in the North West, a true off-the-beaten-track and unique destination for hiking.

Spend one night on a luxurious cruise in the World Heritage Halong Bay and enjoy the breathtaking landscape of the bay. Continue the journey to Quang Binh and visit the famous Phong Nha and Paradise Cave. En route to Hoi An, stop at the Khe Sanh Combat Base, the former DMZ area and then reach the ancient and charming town of Hoi An.

Spend a few days in Hoi An with some exciting activities like a cooking class, a cycling tour to the countryside as well as having a relaxing time at the beach. Continue to the South and discover the dynamic city of Sai Gon.

This is the start of your 2 week Vietnam tour! Upon your arrival at Hanoi airport, your private driver will greet you and escort you to your hotel, help with your check-in at your hotel in the Old Quarter. After breakfast, a full day today to explore Vietnam’s charming capital. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his personal residence, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Tran Quoc Pagoda. End the morning with a visit to the Museum of Ethnology. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple and nearby Hoan Kiem Lake. Enjoy a one-hour cyclo sight-seeing tour around Hanoi Old Quarter for some great fun. Then, watch a traditional water puppet show in the evening.

This morning, a 5-hour drive to the Ta Xua Commune with refreshment stops. After lunch, follow the local H’mong guide to Be village to harvest the ancient tea. You will have a chance to climb on the ancient tea trees and pick every single tea buds. Then, return to your lodge where the skilful H'mong tea makers will instruct you the traditional way to make tea. Taste the tea with your new found friends, pack it and label it with your name to bring home as a souvenir. Have dinner at the lodge and stay overnight in Ta Xua

After breakfast, you will drive to the famous Dinosaur’s Backbone Peak in Ta Xua mountain range. You'll have time to explore the area, take some photos and enjoy the impressive scenery. Then, it's time to say goodbye to the H’Mong people before driving to Tram Tau Town in Yen Bai Province where you will stay for the night. Along the way, you can enjoy the stunning view of the rice terrace fields. Stops for photos or interact with local people (during the harvest season). Arrive the local homestay in Tram Tau for lunch. In the afternoon, having a hiking to explore the local villages and interact with friendly local Thai ethnic.

After breakfast,saying farewell to the host and the villages in Tram Tau. Then, we drive back to Hanoi. On the way, stop to visit Duong Lam village, an ancient village in the Red River Delta where local people still preserve the hundreds-year-old wooden houses. Have lunch in an ancient house and get to know the host. After that, spend some time to have a tour around the village and learn more about the history of Vietnam. Return to Hanoi, check-in your hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

Today you are picked-up at Dong Hoi railway station to leave for Phong Nha. Take a boat cruise on the Son River to visit Phong Nha Cave with its grottos (Bi Ky, Cung Dinh, Tien and Tien Son). Once you reach the entrance of the cave, you will feel like you are entering in the mouth of a mountain. Phong Nha Cave is recognized as a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO. Explore Paradise Cave in the afternoon before returning to Quang Binh for the night.

This morning, you are collected from your hotel and driven to Quang Tri where you will visit the Demilitarized Zones with famous historical sites such as Vinh Moc Tunnel, Hien Luong Bridge and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.. After that, transfer to Hue, the last imperial capital of Vietnam, well-known for magnificent architecture, pagodas and royal tombs laid in small villages and surrounding hills. Upon arriving in Hue, you will check in to your hotel and can spend the rest of the day relaxing.

Start the day with a visit to the Imperial Citadel, home to the Imperial City and Forbidden Purple City – once the Emperor's private residence. The Imperial Citadel gives you a better understanding of the beauty of Vietnamese Royal architecture and culture. Then, visit King Khai Dinh tomb which is one of the most beautiful works of royal architecture of the Nguyen dynasty.

Then, drive to Hoi An via the beautiful Hai Van Pass. Stop and enjoy spectacular scenery and have a great opportunity to take some photos. Arrive in Hoi An in the late afternoon where you can check-in to your hotel and relax.

Then, transfer to Danang airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Sai Gon). Upon your arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, a driver will pick you up and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Today, you'll head off to explore the Mekong Delta on a boat ride on the Mekong River. You'll visit various craft villages to see how to make rice paper, learn how to make coconut candy and coconut souvenirs. You'll hop on a tuk-tuk (or take a bike ride of 3 kilometres) and travel along the narrow shady village roads to visit fruit orchards. You'll enjoy a delicious, local lunch at an ancient house before driving back to Ho Chi Minh City.
