This morning, your wine tour starts with a visit to the vineyards and an orientation tour of the process. Afterwards, you'll attend a wine tasting of the different varieties will take place followed by lunch. Then, you'll drive back to Montevideo for a city tour. The main points of interest for your tour will be in the Historic City Center, among them Plaza de Constitucion with the Cathedral and the Colonial Town Hall. You will also see the magnificent Solis Theatre and Independence Square.

Today, you'll have the entire day free to spend as you wish in Uruguay's capital. The boulevards leading to the historic city centre are lined with palm trees and historic buildings, making it look like a scene from Europe. The city revolves around the main square, Plaza de la Independencia, which was once home to a Spanish citadel. From the plaza, you can find your way to the old town with its art deco buildings, colonial houses and classic landmarks like Palacio Salvo and the Solís Theatre.

You'll journey to Punta del Este today, stopping in Pueblo Eden for an olive oil tasting. Pueblo Eden is a quiet little town between the coast and the Uruguay countryside, about 50 kilometres from Punta del Este. This area is known as the Olive Oil Route as it defines the perfect terrain through the hills and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. Upon arrival in Pueblo Eden, you'll explore the town with a local host then head to an olive plantation for a tasting before continuing to Punta del Este.

You will be picked up at your hotel to enjoy a scenic drive through Punta del Este's most fashionable and impressive neighbourhoods. You'll pass through the residential areas of Cantegril, San Rafael, Parque Golf and La Barra de Maldonado, known for its unique hanging bridges. After a stop at Ralli Museum of Contemporary Art, you'll continue past Punta’s natural wonders – its beaches. You'll stop at Punta Ballena before continuing on to Casapueblo, the home of artist, Carlos Paez Vilaró.

Today you'll drive from Punta del Este to the bus terminal of Cabo Polonio where you'll board a special vehicle to take you through the dunes to the village of Cabo Polonio. Cabo Polonio is a National Park near Valizas, one of the seaside resorts on the Atlantic coast of Rocha. It is best known for its large sea lion colony, which can be seen from the coast and the lighthouse. The small village is surrounded by shifting dunes. After discovering Cabo Polonio, you'll head back to Punta del Este.

You will be picked up at your hotel and will drive to Colinas del Garzón, an Extra Virgin Olive Oil Boutique Production Plant located close to the little village Garzón in the Uruguayan countryside. You will experience spectacular views, top quality wines and olive oils at Colinas del Garzón. If you want to learn all the secrets of the extra virgin olive oil, then this is an experience you should not miss! You will enjoy the tasting of oils and wines, offered with cheese and homemade bread.

This morning, you will drive back to Montevideo. Your hotel for the night is a country house just 17 kilometres from Montevideo's centre. It has 400 hectares of land surrounding it and is a classic estancia from the '40s which has been renovated and transformed into a country hotel. It has a swimming pool, á la carte restaurant, daily breakfast included, several beaches, a tennis court, fitness centre, spa and possibilities for outdoor activities such as cycling, horse riding or hiking.

You will be transferred from Montevideo to Colonia del Sacramento in a private vehicle. Colonia del Sacramento is a charming little town right on the shore of the Río de la Plata. Both Portuguese and Spanish settlers have influenced the city's development which shows in the unique colonial style mix in the historic centre that was named UNESCO World Heritage in 1995. You'll have the rest of the day and evening to explore the town or relax at your hotel.

Today you'll be taken to the historical centre where you'll stroll along the picturesque cobblestone streets of Uruguay’s oldest city, a UNESCO site. As part of the city tour, you will enjoy a tasting of local wine along with various cheeses and desserts in the charming restaurant 'Un Buen Suspiro'. The vineyard Los Cerros de San Juan is the oldest and one of the most prestigious wineries in the country. On a guided tour, you will get to know the vineyard and then taste the exquisite wines.

This morning, you will be driven to Carmelo. Often left behind for the bigger, flashier Punta del Este on Uruguay's coast, travellers are only just discovering what Carmelo has to offer, elite Argentinians have been flocking to this charming Uruguayan town for years. With its beautiful golden beaches on the river, rich culture and budding wine region, Carmelo is Uruguay's best-kept secret. The town runs on its agricultural and wine industry so you are sure to eat and drink well.

Today, you'll enjoy a wine tasting at Campotinto winery. Then afterwards, you will be picked up to visit two wineries in the region. You'll visit the Almacen de la Capilla (an old country grocery store) located in the small village of Colonia Estrella and surrounded by quiet and natural countryside. The Almacen belongs to the organic winery called Bodega Cordano founded by Italian immigrants, the Cordano family, in 1855. You'll enjoy a wine tasting of six wines with a variety of cheese and ham.

Today, you'll travel back to Montevideo and have the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, you'll be picked up and taken to the restaurant Primuseum in order to enjoy a goodbye at the end of your unforgettable trip.
