Overview

Get acquainted with the Vietnam few travellers get to experience on this action-packed ten-day cultural journey through charming Hanoi and dreamy Lan Ha Bay!

After exploring these two wonderful destinations, you'll set off on the road less travelled in Hoa Binh Province, a gold mine of incredible natural beauty and community-based tourism developed by Action on Poverty to create a sustainable and self-reliant future for the Da Bac ethnic minority community.

Among many others, highlights of this trip will include trekking to ethnic minority villages rarely seen by tourists, sailing Lan Ha Bay on a charming overnight cruise, learning about art with curators and researchers at top Hanoian galleries and museums, experiencing the warm hospitality of local families in authentic homestays and joining a traditional Do paper-making workshop.

This tour is perfect if you are looking to see the best and most quintessential landscapes of the country, with an active twist, over just 10 days in Vietnam.

Welcome to the Land of the Ascending Dragon

Upon arrival at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, a representative will welcome you to the land of the ascending dragon before heading straight to your hotel in the heart of the city. The day is at leisure to discover Hanoi on your own, wandering the crooked alleys of the iconic Old Quarter and the promenade around Hoan Kiem Lake until an evening dinner date with a local family. When you want to get to know a culture, there’s nothing quite like breaking bread with a local family.
