Over ten days, you’ll experience all the diversity that Serbia has to offer, from Vojvodina plains in the north to the biggest gorge of Europe on the Danube in the east. Together with mountains and nature in the west and relaxed atmosphere of the south, and getting to know Belgrade, of course.

On top of that, you’ll have the opportunity to try traditional handicrafts, such as pottery. Day 1

Topola Town & Oplenac Royal Mausoleum

After meeting, you will continue straight to Šumadija and the town of Topola. On the tip of Oplenac Hill, you’ll visit the royal mausoleum, a church where 27 members of the royal family are buried. Three wineries are on your list to visit today: the royal wine cellar, established in the 1930s by Serbian king, then prominent Serbian winery Aleksandrović and Rujevica for lunch and a wine tasting.

Day 2

The second day will start with a tasty homemade breakfast, then you'll drive towards West Serbia and iconic Zlatibor Mountain. The first stop is Stopića Cave, then you'll continue to the village Sirogojno, where the ethnological open-air museum Old Village is settled. From Sirogojno, you'll move on to Gostilje waterfall where 20 metres of water drops down to create a wonderful scene. You'll end of the day is in a rural area of Pećinar which has been managed by the same family for 6 generations.

Sargan Eight Train & Višegrad

After breakfast, you'll head to Mokra Gora town. Here, you’ll experience the most attractive narrow track railway in this part of Europe, famous Sargan Eight train. When you finish with the train ride, you will cross to Bosnia to visit Višegrad with the famous bridge over the River Drina dating from the 16th century. Here, you’ll enjoy a boat ride on Drina River with a local captain and lunch on Drina bank. After lunch, you'll return to Mokra Gora and to Kustendorf ethnic village.

Pottery & Monastery of Studenica

The day ahead of you will combine your handcraft skills in making pottery in Zlakusa village, with a scenic drive over the picturesque Golija Mountain. The final destination is Studenica monastery from the 12th century. This beautiful Servian Monastery has been considered for the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Before you reach the monastery, you’ll try the best trout in the area, caught fresh from the pond.

This day of your Serbia tour is reserved for medieval monasteries of the West. Studenica is considered for the most beautiful Serbian monastery (UNESCO list) in general. From Studenica, you will get down to the valley of river Ibar, also known as The Valley of Kings. Here, you'll stop for lunch in a special place, a local tavern ran by the same family for 200 years. After lunch, the next stop is monastery Žiča from the 13th century.

The Skull Tower is a memorial from the 19th century is where skulls of Serbian revolutionaries were built-in by the Ottomans. From Niš, you'll continue to East Serbia. En route, you will first stop at a winery which has a unique process for wine ageing. Here, you’ll have lunch in combination with their wines. The next stop is Felix Romuliana, a Roman palace built by Roman Emperor Galerius.

Iron Gate Gorge & Belgrade

From Bor Lake, you'll continue further to the biggest gorge of Europe, the famous Iron Gate Gorge. You'll have a boat ride through the most beautiful part of the gorge to the Tabula Traiana. After the boat ride, you'll drive to a local household Captain Misa’s Hill where you'll have lunch typical to this area. After lunch, you'll continue upstream till archaeological site Lepenski Vir dating from 8000 BC. From there, you'll continue to the Golubac Fortress.

This morning, you'll be taken first to Belgrade Fortress. You’ll then visit the House of flowers, which is the eternal home of the former Yugoslavian president, Tito. You'll then visit St. Sava church, this the biggest Orthodox temple in the Balkans is dedicated to the true saint who brought autonomy to Serbian Orthodox Church in the 13th century. Afterwards, you'll visit Zemun, the old part of the city that was actually separate town till 1934.

Day 9

Fruška Gora & Novi Sad

After breakfast, you will travel straight to the Vojvodina region and its sole mountain Fruška Gora. Here, you’ll visit monastery Krušedol and then you’ll continue to the town of Sremski Karlovci. The next stop is Petrovaradin Fortress and afterwards, you'll enjoy a gourmet lunch in a small wine cellar where the winemaker is also a cook. You'll have rest of the day free to enjoy Novi Sad on your own.
