Overview

Begin this wonderful 10-Day trip to Italy in Rome, the country's capital; a sprawling, cosmopolitan city with nearly 3,000 years of globally influential art, architecture and culture on display.

Here, you'll visit ancient ruins such as the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, Vatican City, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, which house masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescoes. You'll also have an exclusive breakfast at the Vatican Museum, enjoy a gelato-making class and a cooking class.

You'll then spend two free days in Ponza, a small island famed for its Blue Grottoes, which were created by the Etruscans. The island has many archaeological ruins visible everywhere, including Egyptian, Canaanite, Greek and Phoenician necropolis ruins in the middle of the island.

You'll then head to Florence where you'll stroll through its streets and alleys, admire Michelangelo's masterpiece "The David", and finish with the most beautiful and famous museum in the world, the Uffizi Gallery. Siena will be your last stop where you'll have the option to explore the Tuscan countryside on many different tours.

Your 10-day trip to Italy will start in the capital! In the afternoon, you will discover Rome with your professional guide. You'll start the tour from Palatine Hill where you can look out over Rome then continue to the Imperial Forums and the ruins of the Colosseum. After dinner, you'll have the option to discover the “Gianicolo”, a hill with a unique view over Rome where the Italians used to go with their lovers. The entire place surrounded by stars and love.

This morning you'll enjoy a unique breakfast in the Vatican Museums' courtyard before opening hours. You'll then visit the impressive St. Peter’s Square and Church with a guide and explore the Vatican Museums, Raffaello’s rooms and the Sistine Chapel. You'll also have the option of an exclusive visit to the Vatican Museums after the opening hours to attend the Pope's audience (only on Wednesday). In the afternoon, you can enjoy a class learning how to make Gelato.

This morning your personal driver will pick you up for your cooking class, starting at Rome’s famous Esquilino market. You'll learn about the rich traditions of Roman food and select the fresh, seasonal ingredients to prepare the dishes or pizza. In the afternoon, you'll have plenty of free time to explore Rome by yourself or by taking one of these many tours: Rome by bike, Bulgari Experience, Rome by Vespa, Tivoli tour, Castelli Romani tour or Ciociaria tour.

This morning your personal driver will take you to Anzio (1 hour away from Rome), where you will board a ferry to Ponza. In Ponza, your personal driver will transfer you to your hotel. Ponza is the largest island of the Italian Pontine Islands archipelago and was named after Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea who tried Jesus of Nazareth for sedition against Roman rule. The island is renowned for being a Roman holiday destination and its food, views and relaxed vibe won't disappoint.

Ponza is a small island renowned for its pretty beaches, fisherman and good food. The Etruscans created the now famous Blue Grottoes, connecting the town of Ponza to the large sandy beach called Chiaia di Luna. The island has many archaeological ruins visible everywhere, including Egyptian, Canaanite, Greek, and Phoenician necropolis ruins in the middle of the island. During your time on Ponza, you can explore these ruins, relax on the beach and enjoy the fresh food.

This morning your personal driver will take you to the Ponza pier where you will board a ferry to Anzio. From the pier in Anzio, your driver will take you to your hotel in Florence. After checking in, you'll have the rest of the day to relax, explore Florence as you wish or head out on a tour. There are many ways to explore Florence and one of these could be by bicycle. You may also want to take a leather and jewellery tour, indulge in a perfume-making experience or visit the Boboli Gardens.

This morning you'll meet your personal guide for a historical walking tour, starting from Repubblica Square, the heart of the city. Stroll through streets and alleys of the medieval quarter to Palazzo del Bargello and Piazza della Signoria. You'll then visit the Florence Cathedral and the Uffizi Gallery, home to works by one of the most important artists of all times.

This morning, you'll transfer to the Tuscan countryside. On the way, you will visit Siena's historical centre, see Piazza del Campo, the Tower of Mangia and the lively and narrow streets surrounded by romantic palaces. You'll also visit the stunning Gothic Cathedral with panoramic views. You'll then visit San Gimignano, known as the City of Beautiful Towers, a classic medieval walled hill with its 14 surviving medieval towers. You'll arrive at your hotel in the evening.

You can choose to take a hot air balloon ride over the beautiful countryside, an Ape Tuk Tuk tour or visit Montepulciano.
