Arrive at Milan Malpensa Airport, where you will take a direct train transfer to Milano Centrale train station. After, take another short train ride to reach the first destination of your 10-day tour of Italy: Turin. A private driver will be waiting to collect you at the train station and transfer you to your hotel. In the late afternoon, you will have some free time to explore this elegant Alp-fringed city, famous for its chocolate and booming contemporary art scene.

This morning you have the option of taking two different tours in Turin. One tour visits the 2,000-year-old history of the city, from the Roman era to the Baroque splendour, where you will visit all of the most important buildings. The other tour takes you on a journey to the Lingotto Fiat Factory, which has been transformed into a multipurpose centre. The choice is yours, as there is plenty to discover in Turin!

Travel to the Langhe Region

Check out of your accommodation in Turin and catch a short train to Alba, a pretty city located in the Langhe region of southern Piedmont. Once you arrive, you will embark on a half-day tour of the area to discover the lovely villages and incredible gastronomy from here, such as white truffles, cheeses and hazelnuts. You will also visit a winery and indulge in a wine tasting in one of the most beautiful vineyards in the area.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the Genoa train station, where you will travel by train to Cinque Terre, in the region of Liguria. Once you arrive at Monterosso, your bed and breakfast is a short walk away from the train station. After lunch, take the opportunity to go hiking from Monterosso to Vernazza or the other way round. You will be treated to unparalleled views of both the countryside and the sea on your way.

Today you will enjoy a full day of cruising around the coastline of Cinque Terre, which will allow you to explore this stunning area both by land and by boat. You will visit a number of pretty villages here such as Manarola, Corniglia and Vernazza. In Cappun Magru, you'll be able to enjoy a food tasting which includes a specific fish dish from Cinque Terre. Throughout the day you will have ample time to explore these coastal towns at your leisure and to indulge in some shopping if you wish.

Another day in paradise! You will get to enjoy a full day of exploring at your leisure. Portofino is just an hour from Cinque Terre by train, but if you prefer, you also have the option of taking a scenic walk to reach this coastal town, where you'll enjoy stunning panoramas all around you. You can indulge in some designer shopping in Portofino or alternatively spend the day in Portovenere of Palmaria Island.

You will see Leonardo's Last Supper, visit the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and of course the imposing Duomo.
