Overview
Away from shopping malls and tourist spots, Thonburi is exploring canals and their communities right in the heart of the modern metropolis.
A Long-tailed boat will take you into Bangkok Yai canal to see the way of life. You'll stop by Klong Bang Luang community along the canal which brings alive memories of the past and traditional ways of life.
You'll then continue the boat ride to King Taksin shrine. You'll meander to Talat Phlu, the old community of Thai-Chinese people. You'll be delighted by the fragrant aromas and exotic dishes as you pass the various street vendors. Your expert guide selects the best snacks or desserts for you to taste.
Finally, you'll take the popular local transport Rod Krapong back to the station. This tour supports the Thai Puppet Performance conservation at Baan Silapin (Artist's House).
