Overview
Champadevi, located south of Kathmandu city, is one of the best hills for hiking in Kathmandu Valley. This morning, with a local guide, you'll leave the village and monastery of Pharping, walking along the trail which takes you through a pine forest.
Most of the Champadevi hike is along the ridge with spectacular mountains views of the Kathmandu Valley. On top of the hill is a popular Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage sacred site, where locals perform their rituals on auspicious days.

Itinerary
Day 1
Champadevi Hike and Kirtipur

It's a one-hour drive to Pharping from Kathmandu. You will hike for about a total of 4-5 hours to famous Champadevi, where you will be rewarded with magnificent views of Kathmandu Valley. At the top, you'll visit the famous Champadevi temple and you'll learn about the local lifestyle and culture along with many hidden stories related to places and people from your local tour guide. You'll end the day at the famous Newari City known as Kirtipur before returning to Kathmandu.
