Welcome one and all. I hope you will spare your precious time to read my humble journey from working in a government to running a tour business.
I worked for nearly 2 decades with Government of Bhutan's forestry department where I was actively involved in undertaking socioeconomic surveys and various ecotourism activities (community-based ecotourism, homestays development and identifying new ecotourism products) across Bhutan. This provided me with an opportunity to travel the length and breadth of the country, enabling me to have a deeper knowledge of local livelihood, traditions, culture, history, flora and fauna knowledge of the various regions of Bhutan.
What amazes me is that each and every region of Bhutan is unique and needs to be presented correctly to our valued guests. I feel that guests are here in Bhutan should not only to see and hear but also feel; a guide is a connection.
I have always desired to take Eco-tourism initiatives forward through providing social and environmental travel solutions. My aim is to project Bhutan as an ecotourist destination for nature and culture lovers by providing well and organised eco-tours, cultural and festival tours.
To brief regarding my qualification, I completed Forestry Rangers course (Forest Rangers College, Assam, India) and later pursued Post Graduate Diploma (with Honours) in Wildlife and Eco-Development from Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. The Advanced Diploma in Marketing from Technical College of Perth, Western Australia, really inspired to assemble my forestry and wildlife knowledge to run tours based on my expertise.
As such, I stand to serve the guests by unveiling the untold stories of the last Shangri-La- Bhutan!
